Swan Falls Dam

Swan Falls Dam is a concrete gravity type hydroelectric dam on the Snake River, in Idaho (located near Murphy). The dam was built in 1901 to generate electricity. It is the oldest hydroelectric dam on the Snake River. The dam is owned and maintained by Idaho Power company, although it isn't the major power producer it used to be. But in a scenic canyon of Snake River, evidence of much of the earlier history of hydroelectric development in Idaho can still be seen.
We spread our blanket over the grass, enjoyed a picnic lunch, watched some fishermen catch a fish, threw the frisbee and watched for birds. It is so quiet and serene here that it became easy to lose sense of time.

So I have decided that you either read your brochure or you really know your stuff. What a good mother you are.
